Other comments/suggestions for the organizers.

-     The number one complaint had to do with Audio/Visual problems.  Many people suggested loading presentations before the Conference and testing them to prevent problems during the Conference.

-     The number two complaint had to do with the Poster Presentations.  Numerous people said that the Posters were too cramped and suggested leaving more space for viewing.

-     The number three complaint had to do with the Oral Presentations.  Most people said the oral presentations were too short and recommended at least 30 minutes per presentation.

Specific Comments Regarding Audio/Visual

-     “For next conference, try to have all speakers load their PowerPoint presentations on the laptop computer hard drive before their presentation starts.  On the first day, these were some problems for some speakers getting their presentation up in the short time allocated.”

-     “Need to make sure media equipment is functioning properly.  Large enough computers to handle large presentations with complex images.  All presentations should be loaded on computers prior to Conference.  More time per presentation if needed.  Extra 5 minutes between speakers to allow for transition and moving to other session.”

-     “Technical difficulties seemed to be widespread throughout the Conference.  These delays took up precious time.”

Specific Comments Regarding Poster Presentations

-     “Leave more space between posters at poster session.  It was very crowded and hard to get in and look at posters.”

-     “For future poster sessions, space poster boards further apart.  Too close of spacing makes it difficult to move between and read posters.”

-     “There was not enough room for the posters.  They should have been more spread out to allow easier access.”

Specific Comments Regarding Oral Presentations

-     “Oral presentations were too short.”

-     “20 minutes seemed a little rushed - maybe a few less speakers and longer presentations.”

-     “I’d like to see oral presentations run 30 minutes rather than 20.  Elimination of some presentations to accomplish this would be acceptable.”

Other Comments

-     “Try table topics at lunch.”

-     “This could be a major Conference - exceeding 500 participants - if promoted to and/or equally to both the public and private sector.”

-     “I liked the way the schedules were concurrent so that you could go from one session to the other.”

-     “Overall great Conference.”
